Scarp Partners acted as advisor in Cetti’s (formerly known as BudID) latest fundraise, welcoming a group of strategic investors.
Cetti emerged from the idea that Sweden’s 170,000 annual housing buyers deserve a better way to verify their identities and finances – making the bidding process transparent, efficient and equitable. Today, Cetti is the new market standard with realtors, sellers, buyers and banks cooperating in real time. As of 2023, the platform handles more than 25% of all housing transactions in Sweden, has over 3,000 active realtors and is connected to 6 banks covering 60% of new mortgages in Sweden.
Cetti's services address the entire housing transaction, from advertising to closing. Digital services for real estate agents include Verified Bidding, where speculators identify themselves when bidding and verify their finances; Buyer’s Journey, ensuring a smooth and transparent housing purchase and Seller’s Journey, facilitating all steps of a sales process. For the banks, Cetti has built new digital solutions including object-specific loan promises and advance notice for mortgage, accelerating the digitization and automation of the mortgage processes.
The investor syndicate includes prominent fintech investors and entrepreneurs like Oliver Hildebrandt (Founder of Gilion, Zensum and Nstart), Johan Tjärnberg (Founder of Bambora and CEO at Trustly) and Christian Frick (Partner and Head of Financial Services at Nordic Capital).
The funding round provides both growth capital and a strengthened advisory board with deep network and industry experience, enabling Cetti to further expand its offering and accelerate their growth journey in Sweden and to new European markets.
